The way to the solution - the simple case.
Often you will find the main principle
of a solution to a problem, by looking at a more simple form of
the question. This principle will help us with the tower of
Benares. Our knowledge about some simple towers will help us to
give an answer to the real question. The simplest tower that we
will look at is one of three disks. This tower shall be moved
from one area to another.
Is it possible to move a tower of three discs from area 1
("Platz 1") to area 3 ("Platz 3") and respect
these rules:

Take a little time to find your solution. You might build a real tower with three different sized books and try to find your solution. You might even use this virtual modell to give it a try. Anyway, there is a solution as you will see on the next page, but it might take you some seconds to find it. Well, we are not in a hurry...
